COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State Buckeyes held a prominent place on the midseason All-American team selected by scouting website Pro Football Focus.
Left guard Wyatt Davis, defensive end Chase Young, cornerback Jeffrey Okudah and safety Jordan Fuller were all recognized as first-team choices. Left tackle Thayer Munford and running back J.K. Dobbins received honorable mention recognition.
No other team received as many first-team or overall selections.
PFF called Young “the country’s best player at any position" while saying it expects him to lead the country in overall grade by a wide margin. It also said Davis has allowed only seven quarterback pressures on 189 pass protection reps, Okudah has allowed a 49.1 passer rating on throws into his coverage and Fuller has not missed a tackle in the passing game this season.
Former Ohio State quarterback Joe Burrow, now at LSU, was the first-team selection over Oklahoma’s Jalen Hurts and Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa.
