Updates and renovations to Beachwood Apartments by Albion, formerly known as the Deville Apartments, were marked by a June 19 ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The apartments formerly known as the Deville Apartments in Beachwood have been renovated and re-opened as Beachwood Apartments by Albion.

The renovations started in June 2018, two months after Albion purchased the complex. The first phase was completed earlier in June, and to showcase the renovations, Albion hosted a June 19 open house, which was attended by Beachwood Mayor Martin S. Horwitz. The final phase of renovations is scheduled to be completed in September. The complex is home to 246 apartment units, all for rent, ranging from 750 square feet to 2,200 square feet in size. It’s 88% occupied while the final renovations are in progress.

The renovations include granite countertops, new cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, vinyl plank flooring and in-unit washers and dryers for every apartment.

The common area was completely overhauled, with a new 24/7 fitness center featuring Peloton bikes, a Luxer package room, a clubroom with a pool table, video games, high-definition television screens, and an attached patio and fire pit area outside. The elevators and pool deck were also renovated, along with a repaint of the interior corridors and roof replacements.

“This is a great addition to the community,” said Horwitz after cutting a ceremonial ribbon. “It’s representative of the kind of quality our citizens are very fortunate to have in our residential and apartment areas. It represents Beachwood quality. I had a chance to tour the apartments, they’ve done a beautiful job. They made it a very high-quality, elegant place to live.”
