COLLEGE CROSSECAST Little Boxes Project 5: Maryland’s Bob Boneillo

After quite the long hiatus, the Little Boxes Project returns with one of the greatest Terps of all time.

It’s been a while, but we’re back with a new edition of the Little Boxes Project suite of College Crossecast with one of the greatest Maryland lacrosse players of all time. Joining me on this episode is Bob Boneillo, who tallied up four All-American awards, the 1979 Jack Turbull Award for the nation’s most outstanding attackman, and held the Maryland men’s lacrosse scoring record for over 35 years before Matt Rambo broke it in 2017.

We discuss a bit in this episode, including
-The differences in the sport of lacrosse and the world of difference in recruiting back in the 1970’s (3:30)
-His time at Maryland (5:25)
-His continued role in lacrosse as a parent, coach, and referee (9:19)
-His induction to the Maryland Hall of Fame and the 2017 national title run (16:30)
-His advice to young players (20:15)

You can listen to this episode in the player below or by heading over to Podomatic. You can also subscribe to COLLEGE CROSSECAST via Apple Podcasts, Google Play, and Spotify.
