WSFR responds to Conifer Court fire in Windsor Friday.

An early morning fire damaged five vehicles and three garages in a Windsor neighborhood Friday morning.

Windsor Severance Fire Rescue and the Windsor Police Department are investigating the fire that broke out on Conifer Court. The fire department responded to the call around 4 a.m. Friday, said Todd Vess, WSFR spokesman.

There are no reported injuries to residents or firefighters. The cause of the fire has not been determined, Vess said.

The fire spread through several detached garages within the multifamily complex, according to WSFR, and police evacuated the surrounding units.

Donna Rogers woke up to a knock on her door shortly before 4 a.m. from a neighbor notifying her of the fire. Rogers' garage unit was impacted by the fire. Everything inside the unit is completely damaged, she said. Rogers managed to move her car out of the blaze in time, minimizing the damage to burns on the exterior.

The housing units, separated by about 15 feet from the garage units, were not impacted by the fire, Rogers said.

"It is just real unfortunate," Rogers said. "It could have been worse, it could have actually been the living facilities. A lot of us, we've just lost so much."
