Easter brunch out with family and friends is a Southern tradition.

If you're still trying to decide where to go, here are 10 of our favorite Easter brunches in Memphis. Remember, reservations are recommended.

The Beauty Shop

966 Cooper St.

Known for its funky 1950s-style beauty shop decor (the building was formerly Priscilla Presley’s curl-and-dye spot) and creative fare, The Beauty Shop is a midtown favorite — especially for Sunday brunch. On Easter Sunday, The Beauty Shop will spill over into neighboring Bar DKDC so they can provide more seating. The regular brunch menu will be served in addition to specials like Grilled Rosemary Pecan-crusted Lamb Chops, Beet-cured Salmon Gravlax over Double Dutch Toast and a Grilled Asparagus, Sugar Snap and Spring Pea Eggs Benedict. Brunch is served on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Bounty on Broad

2519 Broad Ave.

With its casual decor, family-style service and innovative farm-to-table fare, Bounty on Broad is the place to go if you are wanting a laid-back Easter brunch with outstanding food and craft cocktails. Chef Russell Casey is planning to offer a few special dishes for the holiday in addition to their regular brunch menu. A Lamb Tangine with spiced pecans, figs, heirloom tomatoes and crispy chickpeas is one of the dishes just for Easter. Brunch is served on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Char

431 S. Highland St.

This local steakhouse serves up an elegant brunch with a Southern flair. Dishes like Chicken and Waffles, Steak Benedict and a Creole Sauté with crawfish, lump crab and andouille sausage have made Char a popular East Memphis brunch spot. On Easter Sunday, Char will serve its regular brunch menu plus a few chef specials for the holiday. Each Sunday, including Easter, a local jazz band plays in the bar. Brunch is served on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Interim

5040 Sanderlin Ave.

Chef David Todd and his team at Interim will serve a special prix-fixe menu for Easter Sunday. For the main course, guests can choose from dishes such as Shrimp and Grits, Fried Chicken and Waffles, Salmon Croquettes and Smoked Beef Brisket. For the finale, pastry chef Franck Oysel will serve a classic French Strawberry Fraisier Cake. Cost is $40 per person; tax and gratuity are not included. Children's options will be available. Brunch is served on Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Lafayette’s Music Room

2119 Madison Ave.

Lafayette’s Music Room is making Easter brunch a weekend “eggstraganza.” It will host an Easter brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Geared toward families, the Easter brunch includes not only delicious fare but face-painting and pictures with the Easter Bunny. Chef Jody Moyt will serve specials such as Pimento Cheese Deviled Eggs, Wild Mushroom, Gruyere and Caramelized Onion Frittata and Easter Ham with an Apricot Glaze. Kid-friendly dishes also will be available.

The Majestic Grille

145 S. Main St.

In a historic movie theater, The Majestic Grille has been a Downtown favorite for more than a decade. It’s a popular Downtown brunch spot not only for its tasty fare, but also for its Majestic Mimosa — $15 for a bottle of bubbly, carafe of OJ and fresh orange slices. On Easter Sunday, Chef Patrick Reilly plans to serve up their usual popular brunch fare with a few special additions to the menu. And playing on the big screen of this theater-turned-restaurant? Why, Easter movies of course! Brunch is served on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Owen Brennan’s

6150 Poplar Ave.

Laissez les bon temps rouler! Step into Owen Brennan’s on a Sunday afternoon and you feel like you have stepped into a restaurant in the New Orleans French Quarter. Its jazz brunch features all your brunch favorites mixed in with its signature New Orleans fare. On Easter Sunday, it will host its signature buffet with live jazz music. Brunch is served on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Paulette’s

50 Harbor Town Square

Paulette’s is famous for its warm popovers with strawberry butter. This treat is served only at weekend brunch — and will be available Easter Sunday. In addition to popovers, Paulette’s will feature a three-course meal. Choose from items such as Crab Cake Benedict, Lobster Omelette and Filet Mignon. Easter brunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Peabody Hotel

149 Union Ave.

Sunday brunch at The Peabody Hotel is a Memphis tradition. Most weeks the South’s grandest hotel serves Sunday brunch in Capriccio Grill — but for holidays like Easter, the folks at The Peabody pull out all the stops. On Easter Sunday, The Peabody has planned a lavish Easter brunch buffet on the mezzanine overlooking the Grand Lobby. The brunch buffet will be served from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Cost is $78 per person. A holiday three-course meal for $48 per person also will be offered from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Capriccio Grill.

Sweet Grass

937 S. Cooper St.

On Easter Sunday, Chef Ryan Trimm at Sweet Grass will serve his popular brunch menu that includes their low-country spin on brunch favorites like shrimp and grits, fried chicken biscuits and crab cake Benedict. Start with a dozen raw oysters from the oyster bar and a mimosa carafe — a bottle of bubbly and a half liter of orange juice for $18. Sunday brunch is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Note: Sweet Grass will close for a week of renovations after Easter brunch and will reopen April 30.)
