Three people were killed over the weekend in four separate incidents involving gunfire, Memphis police say.

The majority of the shootings occurred Sunday, including a triple shooting in the 2000 block of Chelsea in North Memphis.

According to police, the suspect was known to the victims and fled the scene in a grey or silver car. The victims were taken to Regional One Medical Center in critical condition, two of which were upgraded to non-critical by Sunday evening.

One man was also killed on Sunday at a separate shooting in the 3600 block of Queensland in South Memphis. Police say two possible suspects in this shooting are believed to have fled in a beige, four-door Chevrolet Malibu.
