World-renowned Memphis photographer William Eggleston has joined a lineup of acclaimed artists participating in the 2020Solidarity project, an art initiative aimed at helping at-risk cultural venues, projects, spaces and publications during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The effort — which is being organized by German photographer Wolfgang Tillmans’ Between Bridges foundation — is offering posters from 50 international artists to aid nonprofits worldwide. Eggleston’s poster, ‘Untitled’ ca. 1974-75, is being sold in the U.S. exclusively, for now, through two local organizations, OUTMemphis and Memphis Rox.

The posters are available for a minimum $50 donation, and all proceeds will go directly to LGBTQ organization OUTMemphis and Soulsville area activity center Memphis Rox.

In addition to Eggleston, OUTMemphis and Memphis Rox are offering exclusive poster prints by other notable visual artists, including Sabelo Mlangeni, Ebecho Muslimova, Spyros Rennt, Glenn Ligon, Marlene Dumas and Yinka Shonibare.

Each poster is 23½ inches by 16 1/5 inches and is being produced in an unlimited edition, but will be available only until July 3. Posters can be picked up locally in Memphis or shipped anywhere in the U.S. for a flat $10 fee. Each poster purchase is a tax-deductible donation.

Between Bridges is offering the posters free of charge to community nonprofits around the world. To date, about 35 organizations across the United States, Germany, U.K., Spain, Italy, Switzerland, France, Poland, Netherlands, Bulgaria and Hong Kong are participating.
