Four-star Memphis commitments D.J. Jeffries and Malcolm Dandridge are officially going to be Tigers.

Memphis announced Wednesday that Jeffries and Dandridge signed their national letters of intent, solidifying their spots as the first two members of Penny Hardaway's 2019 recruiting class.

Malcolm Dandridge (shown at right as part of the Bluff City Legends AAU team) signed with Memphis on Wednesday.

Dandridge, who ranks No. 135 in 247Sports' composite rankings, committed to the Tigers in May. The 6-foot-9 Memphis native played for Team Penny and starred on East's past two state championship teams.

Jeffries, who committed to Memphis in late October, ranks No. 46 in 247Sports' composite rankings. The 6-foot-7 Olive Branch forward played for Hardaway's Team Penny AAU club in 2017 and reneged on his commitment to Kentucky in July. He is the only recruit to decommit from the Wildcats during coach John Calipari's tenure.

Wednesday marked the first day of college basketball's early signing period.

Jeffries originally planned to hold a signing-day ceremony at Olive Branch High School on Wednesday evening, but the event was canceled because of poor weather.

Dandridge will hold his signing ceremony Nov. 19, one day before East's game against Olive Branch.

The Tigers still are pursuing top-50 prospects James Wiseman, Trendon Watford, Matthew Hurt, and Precious Achiuwa. Memphis also recently made an offer to four-star Tennessee Prep Academy guard Damion Baugh
