College basketball's late signing period began Wednesday, and Memphis basketball commitment Damion Baugh made it official.

The Tennessee Prep Academy/Team Thad guard signed with Memphis on Wednesday, becoming the Tigers' fourth signee alongside James Wiseman, D.J. Jeffries and Malcolm Dandridge

The most recent signing gives Memphis coach Penny Hardaway three of the top four prospects from Tennessee in the class of 2019, according to 247Sports' composite rankings.

Tennessee Prep Academy guard Damion Baugh committed to Memphis in March.

"It's home, and it's Coach Penny," Baugh said when he committed last month. "He just told me he played my position in the NBA, and he can help me get there."

The 6-foot-4 guard is ranked as the No. 134 player in the class of 2019 and No. 3 prospect in Tennessee. He chose Memphis over Texas Tech and TCU in March.

Baugh will provide Memphis with an athletic perimeter defender and a playmaker with the ball in his hands on offense.

He already has played with current Memphis guard Tyler Harris in AAU basketball and is looking forward to being reunited with his former Team Thad teammate.

"Tyler just told me that me and him have killed before, so let's kill again," Baugh said last month.

Memphis is also still in the mix for several other 2019 prospects during the late signing period, including Trendon Watford, Precious AchiuwaLester Quinones and potential reclassification target R.J. Hampton.

In addition to the incoming freshmen, the Tigers also are pursuing graduate transfer guards David Jenkins and Rayjon Tucker
