A busy 'rat run' on the outskirts of Truro is blocked in both directions by a fallen tree.

Penwethers lane is closed between Pound Lane and the A390 at Highertown, reports traffic and roads monitoring website Inrix.

The website first reported the incident at 09:35. In an update at 09:46, Inrix said: "Penwethers Lane in both directions blocked due to fallen tree between Truro and Truro. Traffic is coping well. Note change of details. The route is a popular rat run into Truro. The road closure is confirmed as Penwethers Lane."
