A missing man from Wales, who police in Cornwall is concerned about, has been spotted in a local bank.

Andrew Hardy, from Llandrindod Wells, was reported missing at the beginning of May. He is thought to be hundreds of miles from home, in Cornwall.

Devon and Cornwall Police previously issued an appeal for witnesses or information.

It has now been confirmed that he was spotted in Truro on May 17.

The 54-year-old was seen on CCTV at Natwest Bank between 11.54am and 12.05pm. He entered the bank then headed in the direction of Boscowan Street.

Devon and Cornwall Police and Dyfed-Powys Police are continuing their enquiries to establish his current whereabouts.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "He was last seen at 1pm on Tuesday, May 7, walking into Brecon from the direction of Bronllys.

"He is described as a white man with long greying hair in a ponytail and a long greying beard. He was last seen wearing black jeans, a black hoodie and a black leather jacket.

"Andrew has connections in the Welshpool, Newtown, Llandrindod Wells and Aberystwyth areas.

"Anyone who has seen Andrew is asked to contact Brecon Police on 101."
