Indian Trail Master Naturalist of Ellis and Navarro Counties will celebrate International Observe the Moon Night from 8 to 10 p.m. at Mockingbird Nature Park located at 1361 Onward Rd. Hosted every year, people across the word dedicate the night to lunar observation and discover scientific, cultural and personal connections to the moon. The night will include constructing solar system necklaces, moon rocks and other creative educational activities. Attendees will also have the ability to assemble a Galileo telescope, create star map for the month and view moon craters.

Kerens Middle School students in the Bobcat TRAKS elective classes are hosting a Bike Safety Rodeo from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday Oct. 5 in the school parking lot. There will be a basic safety course, a challenge riding skills, races, bike inspections, as well as bike repairs.

The Eureka United Methodist Church will host it annual Lord's Acre on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019 at 8644 S. Hwy. 287 in Eureka.
