NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Department of Agriculture has ordered two gas stations to stop the sale of certain types of gasoline.

One is the Circle K at the corner of Rivers Avenue and Otranto Road, the other is the Circle K at 8501 Dorchester Road.

SCDA test results revealed water in the gasoline.

Several viewers claim they’ve been stuck with repair bills between $300 and $700 after filling their tanks at these stations.

When water is in the gas tank, the gasoline floats to the top. The fuel pump pulls from the bottom of the tank and since the water its pulling doesn’t burn, it can cause of serious damage.

SCDA officials say this happens every now and then. They’re keeping track of all complaints from this incident. They say the specific pumps will remain closed until they can be drained, refilled, and pass testing.
