THE balance between science and religious belief was addressed by the Bishop of Portsmouth during a visit to Christ the King College.

Bishop Philip Egan, Bishop for the diocese of Portsmouth, visited the school and met with students and staff.

He answered students’ questions and toured the new building that will be the teaching base for years seven to 11, set to open for students in September.

Head of School, Nora Ward, said: “It was a real honour to host Bishop Egan.

"His presence and support for our students and staff, particularly during the holy time of Lent, was an inspiration for our community.”
