BALLET fans will be in their element when the acclaimed BalletWorks comes to Medina Theatre.

The company is led by Robert Robinson, who grew up in Shanklin and was taught by dance teacher Gillian Cartwright.

He went on to have a career in ballet and each year he brings Balletworks to the Island.

This year is the sixth anniversary of the shows.

They will take place on July 26 and 27, and all proceeds raised will go to Mountbatten.

Robert wanted to help the hospice in honour of the care his grandmother received there.

Balletworks has built up an array of repertoire, so the audience can expect an evening of works from neo-classical to contemporary dance.

It will feature ascendant young European artists, and various dance styles, all using the highest quality of dance and choreography from around the world.
