A NEWPORT man completed a skydive in memory of his late father.
David Corney, 41, jumped to raise funds for prostate cancer, following the death of his father Dave Corney, a well-known inspector at Southern Vectis.
David said: "I took to the sky in memory of my dad, Dave Corney, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer in January 2018 and sadly passed away two months later. Dad was a very respected guy.
"I wanted to raise awareness and raise some cash for prostate cancer, so I decided to do a 15,000ft sky dive.
"My dad hated heights so I know he would have thought I was crazy doing it, but would have been proud too.
"The jump was out of this world, breathtaking and emotional.
"I have so far raised £800. "
Dave was 65 when he died, leaving his Jean and family.
His son David, of Furrlongs, works for Medina Foodservice.
