LLANDRINDOD Wells Sports Centre hosted the Powys Primary School Hockey Finals last week.
Local rounds were hosted in Newtown, Brecon, Welshpool, Llandrindod and Ystradgynlais with 37 schools, 61 teams and 607 participants taking part.
Dyffryn Y Glowyr, Llanfaes, Bannau, Radnor Valley, Dolafon, Penygloddfa and Dafydd Llwyd joined eventual winners Llanfair Caereinion who beat Llanrhaeadr 3-0 in the final.
Elliot Pottinger of Mid Wales Hockey said: “The semi-finals were tightly contested and their were some great skills on show from every team.”
“Llanfair also showed some class to go through to the final which saw both teams play some excellent hockey. Llanfair came out on top with some excellent team work and composure to win.”
