One juvenile has been arrested and a second is being sought after a robbery in an Avon park, police said Friday.

The robbery happened about 7:50 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot of Countryside Park off Huckleberry Hill Road. The victim, who police believe knows the robbers, was not injured, they said.

Officers were able to quickly find out where the suspects’ car was — East Hartford — and told East Hartford police.

East Hartford officers detained the juvenile in a Burnside Avenue parking lot until Avon officers could arrive, East Hartford Lt. Joshua Litwin said. Avon police arrived and took custody of the juvenile and the car.

The boy was issued a juvenile summons for first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, Avon Lt. John Schmalberger said.

Police continue to look for the second suspect, he said.
