Hartford man stabbed near Sigourney Square Park, rushed into surgery

A Hartford man was stabbed Wednesday afternoon near Sigourney Square Park and was taken a couple blocks away to Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. 

The 47-year-old man was rushed into surgery and was still being treated at about 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Lt. Paul Cicero said.

Few other details about the incident were immediately but police combed the park and Asylum Hill neighborhood investigating the stabbing into the evening.
