As the three-week search for missing New Canaan mother Jennifer Farber Dulos continued Friday, state police returned again to a Hartford trash-to-energy plant and an Avon pond to look for evidence.

New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski said the multi-agency search, spearheaded by his department and state police, remained focused on finding the mother of five who was first reported missing by friends three weeks ago.

“We will not rest until we find Jennifer,” Krolikowski said. Since her disappearance the department has set up dedicated phone numbers and emails that have brought in more than 600 tips and police have received 80 pieces video surveillance from homes and businesses.

“We urge everyone with information regarding Jennifer’s disappearance to contact us,” the chief said.

Farber Dulos was last seen on May 24, sparking the intense search that first focused on her New Canaan home and a local park where her car was found before shifting to the Hartford area and the Farmington home of her estranged husband, Fotis Dulos.

Police said that before she was reported missing that night, she had missed some appointments after dropping her children off at their New Canaan school.

Earlier this week, state police divers searched the Avon water skiing pond where Fotis Dulos and the kids trained. On Friday, the search shifted to a body of water in the nearby Fishers Meadow Recreational Area.

Fotis Dulos and his girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, were charged with hindering prosecution and tampering with evidence after video footage obtained by the Hartford police showed a man fitting Fotis Dulos’ description driving along Albany Avenue in Hartford, discarding bags in trash cans the night that Farber Dulos was reported missing, arrest records show.

A woman matching Troconis’ description was seen in the vehicle and at one point spotted dropping something or picking it up, arrest records show.

State police searched Albany Avenue on May 31 and found some of the bags they believe that Dulos had tossed out. Arrest records show that some bags contained bloody clothes, towels and sponges that had Farber Dulos’ DNA.

Following the discovery in Hartford, a steady team of state police dogs and their handlers have scoured the Materials Innovation and Recycling Authority’s trash-to-energy plant on Maxim Road in Hartford’s South Meadows, where they returned again Friday.

Authorities have also searched Farmington homes and properties associated with Fotis Dulos and his company, Fore Group.

Both Fotis Dulos and Troconis have posted $500,00 bail. After he was released Tuesday, Fotis Dulos returned to his home on Jefferson Crossing in Farmington.

As investigators continued their work in recent weeks, Farber Dulos’ family have continued to call on anyone with information to come forward.

“At this time, the police are best equipped to conduct searches for Jennifer. Citizens can help most by providing information,” a family spokeswoman said in a statement Thursday.

They are also urging anyone to reach out to New Canaan police on the dedicated tip line at FindJenniferDulos@newcanaanct.gov or call (203) 594-3544.
