A dozen wanted people were arrested during a roundup in the northeast corner of the state Monday, police said.

Between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., state troopers and local police served 15 warrants. In all, 14 people were arrested, 12 of whom were wanted for crimes that police said ranged from second-degree assault, a Class D felony, to issuing a bad check. Two more were arrested on motor vehicle charges.

Some of the wanted people were arrested on more than one warrant, police said.

The warrant sweep involved troopers from the Troop D barracks in Danielson, specifically the Quality of Life Task Force, and are resident state troopers. Officers from the Killingly Police Department and probation officers also participated.
