New York may have Pizza Rat, but Connecticut has Pizza Squirrel.
Courant staff photographer Brad Horrigan spotted the eastern gray squirrel in Hartford’s North End Tuesday afternoon while he was out capturing photos of the winter storm.
Snow started in Hartford during the late morning and started to steadily fall around 12 p.m. A winter weather advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. Tuesday to 7 a.m. Wednesday, according to The National Weather Service.
