Louisville shows this week: 'Beauty and the Beast,' Bourbon and Botanicals & more

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 12

“Beauty and the Beast The Broadway Musical.” Floyd Central Theatre Arts show follows a prince cursed to spend his days as a monster as he sets out to regain his humanity by earning a young woman's love. Streaming Wednesday, 6:30 p.m.; Thursday, 7:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m.; next Sunday, 2 and 7 p.m. $10. More information available at floydcentraltheatre.org.

“Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story.” Derby Dinner Playhouse presents the musical that follows the rock icon’s 18-month rise to fame and the impact he left on the industry after his untimely death at the age of 22. Bourbon and Botanicals Musical Series: Juggernaut Jug Band. Yew Dell Botanical Gardens, 6220 Old Lagrange Road, 7-8:45 p.m. Red Pepper Deli is offering a special dinner box, with a sandwich (choice of Miss Madison, Colonel, On The Rail, or the Valley Veg Wrap), pasta salad, and dessert for $12.
