Man dies at University Hospital after being shot multiple times in south Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man died Wednesday morning after being shot multiple times in an incident in south Louisville Tuesday afternoon.

The Louisville Metro Police Department's Fourth Division responded to a report of a shooting in the 4200 block of South Third Street Tuesday just before 5 p.m. When they arrived, they found Mryshaum Barnes, a 31-year-old man, with several gunshot wounds.

He was transported to University Hospital that afternoon in critical condition, and he died shortly after midnight Wednesday morning.
