A man in a wheelchair who police said was hit and killed by a vehicle Tuesday night on Preston Highway in Okolona has been identified.

Louisville Metro Police spokeswoman Elizabeth Ruoff said officers responded just after 11 p.m. Tuesday to Preston Highway and Tower Road on the report of a pedestrian hit.

Officers found a man in a wheelchair had been hit a southbound vehicle, Ruoff said.

The man was taken to University of Louisville Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the man Thursday as 65-year-old Lonnie J. Graham. His home address was not given.

No charges are expected to be filed, Ruoff said, and the LMPD traffic unit is investigating.
