Two die after driver runs a red light, hits another car in Louisville

Two people died Sunday morning after a car accident in the intersection of Breckenridge Lane and Taylorsville Road, according to Louisville Metro Police. 

Around 6:15 a.m. one car ran a red light and hit another car, which contained a man and woman in their 20s. Both died. 

The driver who ran the red light, a woman, was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital with life-threatening injuries, per police spokeswoman Alicia Smiley.
