The ship has sailed for Horseshoe Southern Indiana.

The riverboat casino 14 miles downriver from Louisville just closed its doors on Monday. But do not worry, gambling fans: the casino will be up-and-running on Thursday.

However, it will not go by the same name. Here's what you should know the casino's reopening, from its name change to its new features.

What's the casino's new name?

The new casino will be named Caesars Southern Indiana. The name is based on the casino's parent company, Caesars Entertainment Corporation, which is based out of Las Vegas.

Caesars, which also owns a Harrison County casino and three others in Indiana, was recently bought by Reno, Nev.-based company Eldorado Resorts. The company will continue to operate by the Caesars name.

What are the new features of the casino?

For starters, the casino is on land instead of on a boat on the Ohio River.

The $90-million casino takes up more than 100,000 square feet of space and features slots, bars, lounges and a sportsbook for on-site sports betting — which was recently legalized in Indiana

New restaurants and other amenities will open in 2020, according to the company.

How long was Horseshoe Southern Indiana on the Ohio River?

Horseshoe Southern Indiana was on the Ohio River for more than 21 years,. It opened on Nov. 20, 1998.
