Louisville man working on Oldham County home dies after 'fall from heights,' police say

A Louisville man died Friday after he fell while working on a home under construction in Oldham County, according to authorities.

James "Steve" McCubbin, 60, was found unresponsive about 5:30 p.m. Friday at a home under construction in the 1400 block of Rivercrest Drive in Prospect, according to a news release from Oldham County Police.

An investigation revealed that McCubbin died after accidentally falling while working alone at the construction site, according to police. The preliminary autopsy report confirmed the injuries were consistent with a "fall from heights," Oldham County Police said.
