Louisville mayor's office to change intern hiring practices after Courier Journal reports

Yea, former Kentucky guard Hamidou Diallo just dunked over Shaq

As if Saturday night wasn't already great for Kentucky basketball, it got better.

As the Wildcats were putting the finishing touches on their dominating win over No. 1 Tennessee, former UK guard Hamidou Diallo went out in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest and did something very few people have ever done, or have done and lived to tell about.

He dunked over Shaq.

He got a running start, raised to physical heights mortals shouldn't be able to reach, cleared The Big Aristotle's head and then, as if that wasn't enough, put his ELBOW in the rim as a stunned Shaq Diesel looked on.

He finished it all off by ripping his jersey to reveal a Superman shirt underneath. That's appropriate when you leap tall legends in a single bound.

Back in Lexington, Diallo's former teammate PJ Washington was just as impressed with his dunk.

“I seen it in the locker room." Washington said. "I knew he was athletic, but I didn’t think he had all that in him. I’m just happy for him, and I’m probably going to call him tonight.”

Coach John Calipari, though he hadn't seen the dunk yet, well, his reaction says it all.

"He jumped over -- was Shaq on his hands and knees?"

He was then told that Shaq was, in fact, standing in all his 7-foot glory.

"No. It -- Shaq was standing straight up? Wow. I got to see this."

Yea, Cal, you really do.

Diallo, who was the 45th overall pick in last year's NBA draft, went on to win the whole thing, marking the second year in a row a former college player from a Kentucky school has taken home the title (Hey, Donovan).

As for Diallo, we may have to reconsider who the NBA's Superman is now. That's what happens when the original one gets dunked over.
