Well, this is interesting.

Moore defensive end JJ Weaver, who is committed to Kentucky, confirmed to the Courier Journal that he toured Louisville on Sunday.

The visit adds another layer of intrigue to the recruitment of one of the more highly sought-after players in the city, especially since the Cardinals introduced new coach Scott Satterfield last week. The Courier Journal previously reported that Satterfield had revoked the scholarship offers of several commitments to former coach Bobby Petrino's staff.

Louisville was among the final few schools that were in contention for his pledge and U of L athletic director Vince Tyra had come to visit him prior to Weaver committing to the Wildcats. Weaver spoke to Rivals.com reporter Dave Lackford and explained the reason behind his visit.

"The AD Vince (Tyra) visited me at school and asked me to do him a favor," Weaver told the outlet. "I said, What do you need? He said at least come and talk to the new coach when he is hired and I said, I got you. I am a man of my word, so I did that today [Sunday]."

Weaver emphasized he's not wavering on his commitment to UK, though, and still plans to sign.

"I'm 100 percent committed to BBN. Like I said, I'm a man of my word," Weaver said.

Weaver shared a couple of Instagram photos of his visit, causing fans to be immediately unsettled. He later confirmed to the CJ that he'd visited and then put that into context with Rivals.

That should put things to rest. Still, Louisville's recruiting situation is far from settled as Satterfield scrambles to put together a signing class that fits his needs.

The early signing period for college football is Dec. 19-21.
