Louisville men's basketball ACC schedules set for 2019 through 2022

The Louisville men's basketball team's Atlantic Coast Conference schedules for the next three seasons are set as the league prepares to move to a 20-game schedule in 2019-20. 

The Cardinals will have designated primary rivals Pittsburgh and Virginia both home and away each of the next three seasons and will face a varying group of four additional opponents twice per season. The remaining eight opponents will be single games, four at home and four on the road. 

The ACC announced the matchups Thursday, beginning with the 2019-20 season and continuing through the 2021-22 season. The league currently plays an 18-game schedule.

In 2019-20, Louisville's ACC opponents will include Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Miami, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. The Cardinals' 10 league road games will be at Boston College, Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, NC State, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and Virginia.

Dates for ACC games will be released in the fall. 

Louisville's nonconference schedule for next season is nearly complete as well, according to scheduling contracts obtained by the Courier Journal through open records requests. 

The Cards will play 2019-20 home games against Eastern Kentucky, Miami (Ohio) and Southern. They will also host Akron and three other opponents to be determined at the KFC Yum Center as part of the Global Sports Shootout from Nov. 8-22, 2019. 

Also in 2019-20, Louisville will play Kentucky at Rupp Arena and participate again in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, location and opponent to be determined. The Cards will face Western Kentucky at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville for the first game of a four-year series, first reported by WBKO.

In 2020-21, Louisville's ACC home games will be against Boston College, Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, NC State, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Virginia and Virginia Tech. Away games will be at Boston College, Clemson, Duke, Miami, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.

For 2021-22, Louisville will host Boston College, Clemson, Duke, North Carolina, NC State, Miami, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Virginia and Wake Forest. The Cards will travel to play at Florida State, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, NC State, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
