Source: Louisville assistant Luke Murray not interested in NKU job
Louisville basketball assistant Luke Murray is "not interested" in the head coaching opening at Northern Kentucky and will remain on Chris Mack's staff, a source told the Courier Journal.
Murray's name popped up as a candidate for the NKU job after the Norse lost head coach John Brannen to Cincinnati.
A source confirmed Wednesday that Murray was contacted about the NKU job but said he was firmly uninterested.

Murray, 34, was on Mack's staff at Xavier for three seasons before following him to Louisville ahead of the 2018-19 season. He is the lead recruiter on Louisville's staff and helped the Cardinals haul in a top-five 2019 recruiting class.
Earlier this spring, Murray was associated with the then-vacant head coaching position at Fairfield, his alma mater, but it appears he intends to stay at Mack's side for a second season at Louisville.
