You don't need to be at the racetrack to hang with the stars this Kentucky Derby weekend.

Instead, hoop it up with Angel McCoughtry and Asia Durr, WNBA lottery picks who are two of the top players in University of Louisville history.

McCoughtry and Durr are teaming up to hold a skills camp May 3 at the Indiana University Southeast gym in New Albany, Indiana — just across the river from the city where they established themselves as Cards legends.

McCoughtry, the No. 1 pick in 2009 and a five-time WNBA All-Star, told the Courier Journal on Monday that her father had the idea for the joint camp just three weeks ago.

McCoughtry has never hosted her own camp in the Louisville area and thought it would be a great opportunity for fans to interact with Durr before she leaves to begin training camp with the New York Liberty as the 2019 No. 2 pick.

"The fact that she just got drafted No. 2, all the accolades speak for itself," McCoughtry said. "And me being a part of this, what a great combination for Louisville fans. I think it's just so exciting."

The camp will include a four-hour session for boys and girls in grades 3-8 starting at 9 a.m., and a second for grades 9-12 starting at 2 p.m. Registration is $75.

Candyce Bingham, an assistant coach at Bellarmine University and McCoughtry's former Louisville teammate, is helping direct the camp. And, McCoughtry teased, a handful of "surprise guests" will make appearances as well.

This will be Durr's first camp as a pro, less than a month after she heard her name called at the WNBA draft in New York City.

Durr finished her four-year Louisville career as the program's No. 2 scorer behind McCoughtry, having led the Cards to four NCAA Tournament appearances, two Sweet 16s and a Final Four.

"It was amazing," McCoughtry said. "It just shows the history of Louisville, just what's been done. Before I came nobody had been drafted in the WNBA. The team had never been past the first round of the NCAA Tournament. To see those things happen generation down, I'm excited for young girls who are coming to sign with Louisville."

McCoughtry said she hopes the camp with Durr will grow enough to become an annual tradition. Based on her experiences with Louisville fans, she is fairly confident it will.

"Our fans are so die hard," McCoughtry said. "I have people come up to me who are 13, 14 years old and they show me a picture of me holding a baby when I'm in college and they're like, 'That's me!'"

She continued, "They don't forget. I think that's just an amazing feeling. To be able to give back to them some of our time, we're really excited."
