Coach Scott Satterfield and the University of Louisville football team continued its recruiting momentum Friday, picking up a three-star wide receiver from Florida.

Dexter Rentz Jr., a 5-foot-11, 175-pound wide receiver from Ocoee, Florida, is the Cards' 12th commit in the Class of 2020.

Eight of the first 11 commits for Louisville have been players on the defensive side of the ball, but Rentz represents a potential offensive threat for the Cardinals.

Rentz announced his commitment to Louisville during an appearance Friday on 93.9 The Ville and also posted a video on Twitter.

Rentz is ranked as a three-star athlete by 247Sports.com but was recruited as a wide receiver by Louisville. He visited Louisville's campus in May and returned this week before making his commitment.

Rentz has received 29 offers from schools such as Kentucky, Purdue, Pittsburgh, Indiana, Rutgers, Cincinnati and University of South Florida.

During his junior season at Ocoee High School outside of Orlando, Rentz caught 60 passes for 1,200 yards and scored 14 total touchdowns. He also made eight interceptions on the defensive side of the ball.

More recruiting:3-star offensive tackle becomes Cards' sixth commitment this week

College recruiters took notice of Rentz during his sophomore year in 2017, when he tied a Florida state record with five interceptions in one game.

Rentz is ranked by 247Sports.com as the No. 1,060 prospect in the Class of 2020 and 89th best athlete. He is listed as the 116th top recruit in Florida.

Rentz announced his commitment the same day that Josh Minkins Jr., a defensive back from Louisville's Ballard High School, declared his plan to join the Cards. Rentz also represented Satterfield's ninth 2020 commitment in 15 days.

Rentz is also the fourth member of Louisville's 2020 class from the Sunshine State.

Henry Bryant III, a three-star defensive tackle from Delray, Florida, committed to the Cards on Thursday. Offensive lineman Kobe Baynes, a three-star recruit from Jacksonville, committed Wednesday.

Ronald Delancy, a three-star defensive back from Miami, was the first Class of 2020 commit for Louisville back in February.
