Louisville continues recruiting streak with commitment from a junior college prospect

For the sixth straight day, the Louisville football team picked up a commitment in its class of 2020.

Marvin Dallas, a junior college prospect from Georgia Military College, announced his commitment on Twitter Sunday.

Dallas is the 16th member of the 2020 class and ninth to commit this week for the Cardinals.

Listed on the Georgia Military College roster as a 6-foot-1, 180-pound defensive back, Dallas is the Cardinals's tenth defensive commitment. According to the team website, Dallas played in nine games finishing with seven tackles.

The Cardinal’s recruiting momentum has shot them up the national team rankings. According to the 247sports database, Louisville is ranked No. 24. On the Rivals.com database, the Cardinals are ranked No. 25.

In the 247 rankings, Louisville’s class is rated higher than rival Kentucky, although the Wildcats have picked up just eight commitments in the class, with two being four-stars. In the Rivals database, Kentucky’s class is ranked two places higher than the Cardinals.

Louisville may not be done yet, as the June “quiet period” does not end until June 23. Once finished, the “dead period,” restricting contact between players and coaches will begin on June 24.
