Louisville basketball is bringing Donovan Mitchell's new shoe to the Yum Center court

Donovan Mitchell will be hard to miss on the KFC Yum Center court this season. Well, at least his shoes will.

Louisville men's and women's basketball players will wear Mitchell's new signature Adidas shoe, the D.O.N. Issue #1, as part of the 2019-20 uniform rotation. The shoes were featured in a video the men's team posted Sunday night on Twitter showcasing new Adidas gear for the upcoming season.

Adidas debuted the Issue #1s last month in collaboration with Marvel. Mitchell has been wearing them nonstop this summer while he plays for USA Basketball.

Speaking of which, Spida has been tearing it up for the national team. The current Utah Jazz guard and former Cardinals great scored a team-high 13 points and shot 50% from the field in the USA's exhibition win against Spain on Friday.

Team USA is in its final week of training camp, and Mitchell seems like a lock to make the 12-man roster for the FIBA World Cup, which tips off Sept. 1 in China.

Mitchell has done it all on the heels of trips to China and France to promote the Issue #1s, which have been released in four colorways so far. The colorway on the shoes the Cards will wear this season is black mesh with red accents.

As we get closer to hoops season, keep an eye out for releases of specific Louisville uniform combos and new designs. It doesn't seem crazy to think the dunking cardinal could make a comeback on jerseys, too.
