Assumption's Gordon named Kentucky Miss Field Hockey; All-State team announced

Assumption High School senior Lee Ann Gordon has been named Kentucky’s 2019 Miss Field Hockey by the Kentucky High School Field Hockey Coaches Association.

Gordon, a defensive midfielder, had 11 goals and 10 assists and helped the Rockets win the state title, beating Christian Academy in last month’s championship game. Gordon has signed with Wake Forest.

Other award winners from the KHSFHCA were Eastern goalkeeper Macy Lotze (Bunny Daugherty Defensive Player of the Year), Ballard’s Isabel Gladys (Debbie Judd Hockey Hustle Award), Assumption’s Kate Bale (Rachel Caroline Baker Sportsmanship Award) and North Oldham’s Megan Rogers (Coach of the Year).
