A goal by Lucky Mkosana in the 60th minute was all that was needed for Louisville City FC to beat Ottawa Fury FC 1-0 on Saturday night at Louisville Slugger Field.

The win snaps a three-game winless streak for the club, which hadn't won since March 23.

The chances came early for LouCity, including a screaming blast by Speedy Williams from outside the box in the 25th minute that was saved by Ottawa goalkeeper Callum Irving, a former keeper at Kentucky.

In the 29th minute, Shaun Francis sent a cross in front of the goal that eventually found Abdul Thiam, who slipped on his short attempt and sent the shot over the crossbar. The game went into halftime 0-0.

LouCity finally broke through early in the second half when Niall McCabe's cross was put home by Mkosana for his first goal for the club.

Louisville City will stay home for its next game, welcoming Memphis 901 FC at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, at Slugger Field.
