The MetOffice are suggesting we could be in for another scorcher this bank holiday as temperatures start to climb once again.

After a turbulent July and August we could be set for a warm late bank holiday with temperatures reaching 26C across Coventry and Warwickshire.

And as well as climbing temperatures, there is currently no rain forecast across the long weekend.

This weekend may be the weekend to finally grab those beach towels and head to the nearest beach for a day out with the kids, where you could see some record breaking temperatures.

We look ahead to what the MetOffice has said about the coming days.

Saturday forecast

Saturday looks the cloudier day out of the Bank Holiday weekend, with the forecast showing sunny intervals in the morning, before turning cloudy around 10am. We will see some sunshine through those clouds in the afternoon though.

7am - Sunny intervals 13C

10am - Cloudy 19C

1pm-10pm - Sunny intervals 24C-26C

What have the experts said?

Chief Meteorologist, Steve Willington said: “We’ve had a fairly wet and windy August so far, however that’s going to change this weekend as we see high temperatures, sunshine and light winds return.

"On Saturday and Sunday there’ll be plenty of sunshine across the country with temperatures reaching into the mid-20s Celsius for many - it’ll be warmest in southeastern parts where 30 Celsius is possible.

“By Bank Holiday Monday itself temperatures will rise further with around 33 Celsius possible in the southeast – which would set a new record for the coming Bank Holiday weekend.”
