A teenager charged with murdering a man in Coventry has appeared at crown court.

Levi Whitmore-Wills, 18, is accused of stabbing Patrick Hill in Earlsdon earlier this month after he was found with knife wounds at Albany House in Brunswick Road, Earlsdon.

He was taken to hospital in the early hours of Sunday, February 10, but died three days later on February 13.

A post-mortem examination revealed he died of stab wounds.

Whitmore-Wills was initially charged with wounding, but was later charged with murder following Mr Hill's death.

The teenager, whose address given in court as Coventry Road, Brinklow, appeared at Birmingham Crown Court on Thursday, February 21, but no pleas were entered.

A potential trial date was set for June 24 and another hearing is set to take place in March.

Whitmore-Wills was remanded in custody.
