A large cannabis farm was discovered at a property on a busy Coventry road.

Police were called to an address on Sewall Highway in Wyken yesterday morning, Thursday, May 16.

They had initially received reports of suspicious activity at the property.

Officers discovered a cannabis factory and recovered "around 130 plants".

Each plant could produce around £1,000-worth of the drug.

A 27-year-old man was arrested, but has since been released pending investigation.

West Midlands Police have revealed that they are asking anyone with information to come forward.

West Midlands Police released a statement earlier today which read: "A man has been arrested after a cannabis farm was discovered at an address in Sewall Highway.

"Police were called to reports of suspicious activity at the property at 10.15am yesterday (Thursday 16 May).

"Around 130 cannabis plants were recovered from the address.

"The 27-year-old man who was arrested has since been released pending investigation."
