A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a four-car crash on Coventry's ring road.

The collision happened on the slip-road off the ring-road towards Sky Blue Way and Far Gosford Street just after 2pm today, Friday, June 7.

A second man was also injured, and both were taken to Coventry's University Hospital.

Ambulance statement

A spokesperson for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 2.07pm to the junction of Sky Blue Way and Far Gosford Street.

"We received reports of a road traffic collision.

"Two ambulances and a paramedic officer were sent to the scene.

"We treated two patients, both men.

"One of the men suffered serious injuries and received trauma care at the scene by crews.

"Both men were taken to University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson confirmed that they were called to a four-vehicle collision.
