Thousands of people are expected at a free festival celebrating Coventry as a city of welcome.

Coventry Welcomes will run from June 15 to June 23.

The festival will have over twenty free events taking place across the city.

From outdoor theatre, to comedy and dance, and a nation's cup football match there's plenty for the family to enjoy.

Where is it happening?

Events will run across the city, as we celebrate people from all parts of the world who have made Coventry their home for many different reasons.

There are some amazing events that you don't want to miss, check out everything that's happening on the festival website.

What will be happening?

On Saturday there is an International craft and food fair, running from 10am to 4pm in Broadgate.

On Sunday from 11am to 4pm be sure to get involved with the 'Nation's League' football tournament held in University Square, outside the Cathedral.

All backgrounds and abilities are encouraged to get involved with prizes to be won.

During the week there will be opportunities to voice opinions at workshops held in the Cathedral ruins and at Central Library.

The festival goes out in style, with a party in Broadgate from 12-6pm featuring music, dance and food.
