Earlier this year, we celebrated one of the best weeks in Coventry's history.

We had five amazing events which brought the city together - starting with BBC Music's Biggest Weekend at the War Memorial Park.

This was followed by Coventry City's Wembley triumph, earning promotion to League One.

Days later we had the open top bus celebration, before the week was topped off with the Rolling Stones gig and Motofest - which saw 100,000 petrol heads flock to the city.

And while the week at the end of May and early June was special, 2019 could top that, with a whole month of amazing events coming.

You can check out every single amazing event coming to Coventry in June 2019 right here.

MotoFest

Kicking the month off is the return of Coventry's motoring extravaganza MotoFest.

Between June 1 and 2, thousands of petrol heads will visit the city to see both super cars and classics.

The ring road is taken over by the spectacle each year, with next year's event set to be just as exciting as always.

More information is likely to be announced in the build up to the weekend.

The Spice Girls

Possibly the biggest musical act announced for 2019 so far is the return of superstar girl group the Spice Girls.

Reuniting for the first time since 2008, the global icons are taking their UK tour to Coventry, where they will play two shows at the Ricoh Arena.

These are set to take place on Monday June 3 and Tuesday June 4.

It should come as little surprise that tickets sold out in just minutes.

However, some have gone back on resale, and can be found here.

Monster Jam

From music to motoring, this one is very different to MotoFest, but just as exciting.

The global phenomenon that is Monster Jam will see huge monster trucks taking to the Ricoh Arena.

Here, they will be traversing jumps and crushing cars in their very first Coventry appearance.

The event takes place on June 8, and all the information can be found here.

Soundscape Weekender

Also taking place in the Ricoh Arena bowl is a two day summer festival event, which will see huge names making their way to the city to perform.

So far, we only have names announced for the second day, with headliner David Guetta set to play a 90 minute headline set.

Other big names include Anne Marie, Years and Years, Clean Bandit, Mabel and Rak-Su, all set to perform on day two.

The first day of the festival will see rock, indie and alternative artists performing, with further announcement expected over the coming weeks and months.

Soundscape is set to take place on June 15-16, and tickets can be found here.

Bon Jovi

Making their highly anticipated return to Coventry are rock legends Bon Jovi.

It has been 11 years since the American rockers last came to the city, with next summer's show their third in Coventry.

Taking place on June 23, the gig takes place in the Ricoh Arena bowl.

The Coventry gig comes as part of a global stadium tour.

Speaking to the Mirror, Jon Bon Jovi said: "I can't wait to go back to Coventry.

"We've had some great nights at the Ricoh. It's going to be special."

Tickets can be found here.

Anything else?

Obviously, June 2019 is still a long way away, and many more events can and will likely be added to what is looking like an excellent month in Coventry.

It appears unlikely that there will be any major sport happenings, with the football and rugby seasons winding down in May.

But if any new events are announced, there is no better place to find out than the CoventryLive what's on page, which can be found right here.
