A police investigation appears to be taking place at an address in Coventry this morning.

Officers from West Midlands Police have been on the scene in Rollason Road throughout the morning with several cars and a van outside the property.

One appears to be a Scenes of Crime vehicle.

CoventryLive has been in touch with the force to find out the nature of the investigation taking place.

Police have revealed they were at the house because a cannabis farm had been found.

Driveway dug up

Neighbours on Rollason Road say there was a lot of banging within the house throughout the early hours of the morning as whatever was in the property was dismantled.

Part of the driveway has been dug up around the electricity box although it’s not clear if that was done by workers from the electricity company or someone else..

Officers have left the scene

Both police vehicles have now left the scene and the property has been secured.

We’ll bring you an official statement from West Midlands Police as soon as we receive one.

Plastic bags removed

Officers have left the property carrying plastic bags which appear to contain cannabis plants which have been placed into one of the vehicles.

"Two officers on duty"

Reporter Enda Mullen says one of the vans is a scenes of crime van, the other is a marked vehicle with two officers on duty inside.

A security team have also been on hand to secure the property.

We’re on the scene of a police investigation in the Radford area of the city this morning.

Two police vehicles are at an address on Rollason Road.
