Emergency services have responded to reports of a car careering through the bay window and into a house in Nuneaton.

West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS), police and Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service attended the incident in Featherstone Close at 3.20pm today (June 14).

Reports were made to WMAS that a car had crashed into the property and control sent an ambulance and a paramedics officer to the scene.

Fortunately, no one was in the house at the time.

Fire crews remain at the scene as the front of the house is believed to be badly damaged.

CoventryLive understands eight police cars have been spotted around the College Street area close to the 'banana bridge' and the police helicopter has been in the skies in the area.

Reports suggest the driver fled the scene.

CoventryLive has contacted Warwickshire Police and a spokesperson said that they received a report at 3.15pm connected to a failure to stop incident.

Further details were not available at the time of publication.
