Police are investigating an allegation of sexual abuse at a Coventry care home.

West Midlands Police confirmed they had received reports of two separate allegations against two separate people in the past six months.

In relation to the first, a man was interviewed under caution but no further action was taken.

However, police have told CoventryLive enquiries into the second allegation are ongoing.

The home, which we have not identified to protect victims, provides care for people with dementia and physical disabilities.

A West Midlands Police spokesman confirmed it was still investigating one of the allegations.

He said two sexual assault allegations had been reported - one on December 30 and another on April 12.

"A man was interviewed under caution in relation to the first matter but no further action was taken," he added.

"Enquires continue in relation to the most recent allegation.

"They are two separate allegations against two different people."
