It's now six League One matches without a win for Coventry City - and three defeats on the spin.

Sky Blues face a crunch Christmas period to make sure they are optimistically looking towards the top end of the table, rather than anxiously over their shoulders at the teams below.

Mark Robins takes his team to Shrewsbury Town on Saturday. After that it's home matches against Charlton Athletic and Southend United before a trip to Wycombe Wanderers.

It's clear that Robins needs to shake things up a little in an attempt to find a winning formula.

Ideally reinforcements will arrive during the January transfer window, although the manager was non committal over how much backing he will receive when asked after Saturday's defeat to Luton Town.

In the meantime he must make do with what he's got.

Our Sky Blues man Andy Turner contemplated Coventry's dip in form at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday and came up with one potential solution for Robins over the festive period - recalling Michael Doyle.
