It’s been a busy summer for Coventry City so far - with six new faces coming into Mark Robins’ squad.

On Friday Wesley Jobello joined from GFC Ajaccio, signing a three year deal with the Sky Blues for an undisclosed fee.

And Cov are also claimed to be interested in bringing loan ace Bright Enobakhare back to the club.

There was hope that Wolves would opt to release the forward, whose contract expired this summer.

Those were quashed when the Molineux decision-makers opted to exercise the option in his deal to extend for a further 12 months.

However, it’s not only Coventry who are making key decision - here’s a quick round-up of the main moves in League One.

Ready Eddy go

Blackpool have signed Ryan Edwards from relegated League Two side Plymouth Argyle on a two-year contract.

The 25-year-old former Blackburn Rovers and Morecambe defender becomes League One club Blackpool’s second signing of the summer, to follow Solihull Moors striker Adi Yussuf.

Edwards had turned down the offer of a new contract at Plymouth.

Back home

Bradford City have secured the services of striker Clayton Donaldson, who becomes the Bantams’ seventh signing of the summer.

The 6ft 2ins frontman arrives on an initial one-year contract and brings a wealth of experience, having made over 400 EFL appearances representing the likes of Sheffield United, Birmingham City and Brentford.

Born and raised in Bradford, the Jamaican international began his youth career with City.

Donaldson said: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining the club. I grew up in Bradford, as a City fan, so this move means an awful lot to me.

“I started my youth career here and coming back was always something I planned on.”

No deal

Portsmouth boss Kenny Jackett has dropped his interest in Birmingham City forward Viv Solomon-Otabor.

The 23-year-old spent the second half of the last season on loan at Fratton Park, making 10 appearances as Pompey made it to the League One play-offs before losing to Sunderland in the semi-final.

Jackett is building for another promotion bid next season but Solomon is not a part of his plans despite suggestions that an approach to Blues could be forthcoming.

The Portsmouth News report that the south coast side are ready to look elsewhere now that Solomon has been offered a new contract to stay at St Andrew’s.

And at Bolton

Bolton Wanderers are set to be taken over by the Football Ventures consortium, headed by Sharon Brittan, according to BBC Radio Manchester.

Administrators announced on Thursday that they had identified a preferred new owner for the League One club.

Final offers were received from five parties before Wednesday’s deadline.

It has not yet been publicly confirmed who the new owners will be, but Paul Appleton of administrators David Rubin & Partners hopes a heads of terms agreement will be signed by Friday.
