TV, laptop among items reported stolen during Friday daytime burglary

COVINGTON, Ga. – A Covington woman called police Friday afternoon to report that someone had broken into her house and stolen nearly $1,000 worth of her property.

According to a Covington Police Department incident report, when officers arrived at the Sterling Lane residence they found a back bedroom window shattered with two rocks lying on the bedroom floor and a larger rock on the ground outside the broken window.

The victim told police that the break-in must have happened between 6:45 a.m. and 3:40 p.m. The thief reportedly made off with a 50 inch Emerson TV, 37 inch home theater sound bar, a Roku, a watch, a HP laptop, a Beats Pill speaker and a package with an unknown item inside.
